Booking Terms and Conditions

The Booking Conditions presented here, alongside our Privacy Policy and, our Website Terms of Use, as well as any additional written information we have provided to you prior to confirming your booking, establish the contractual foundation between you and Bliss Luxury Travel, an esteemed luxury travel agency registered in England and Wales, Company registration number: 15268654, Registered Office: The Business Centre, Suite D, Faringdon Avenue, Romford, Essex, RM3 8EN. These documents carefully define the rights and obligations we share, and we urge you to read them thoroughly. The term "you" and "your" within these Booking Conditions encompasses the lead individual on the booking as well as all individuals on whose behalf the booking is made, plus any individuals to whom the booking might later be transferred.

By finalising a booking, the lead booker confirms on behalf of everyone listed on the booking that:

  1. They have reviewed these Booking Conditions in detail and agree to be bound by them.
  2. They consent to our handling of personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and are authorised to share personal information about all persons named on the booking with us, including, where relevant, sensitive data such as health conditions or specific dietary needs.
  3. They are over the age of 18 and, for services subject to age restrictions, affirm that all members of their party meet the necessary age requirements for those services.
  4. They accept financial responsibility for the booking on behalf of everyone listed on the booking. Please be aware that our role can vary, acting either as a Package Organiser in arranging Package holidays or as an Agent in facilitating the booking of holiday products offered by third-party tour operators or suppliers ("Supplier/Principal")

As such, our obligations to you will differ based on whether you book a Package where we act as the Package Organiser or use our services as an agent to arrange or book holiday products provided by a third-party Supplier/Principal. The specific responsibilities we hold under each scenario are further outlined in our policies below.

It's important to note that unless otherwise specified within these Booking Terms & Conditions, any reference to laws or regulations of the European Union and/or International Conventions that have direct applicability or effect within the United Kingdom shall be interpreted according to their implementation in England and Wales, including instances where such laws have been retained, amended, expanded, reenacted, or brought into effect after 11pm on 31st January 2020, covering the transition period.

1. Booking and Payment Policies

Booking Confirmation and Payment Terms: A booking with Bliss Luxury Travel is confirmed when you accept our proposed travel plan, provide a deposit or full payment as specified during the booking process, and receive a formal booking confirmation from us. The process for confirming your travel arrangements is designed to be clear and straightforward, ensuring you understand the commitments on both sides.

Deposits and Final Payments: To secure your booking, a deposit is required. The deposit amount will be clearly stated at the time of booking and is part of the total trip cost. The balance of your travel cost is due no later than 12 weeks before departure, or 14 weeks in advance for luxury villa bookings. Specific details regarding payment schedules, including due dates and amounts, will be provided at the time of booking and reiterated in your booking confirmation.

Refundable Deposits: Deposits are generally non-refundable, except in cases where Bliss Luxury Travel cannot confirm the initial booking proposal due to unavailability or other significant factors beyond the customer's control. In such instances, the full deposit will be refunded to you.

Price Changes After Booking: Once your booking is confirmed and the deposit is received, the price of your travel arrangements is guaranteed, subject to the terms outlined below. We will not impose any additional charges or surcharges, nor will we reduce prices, except in the specific circumstances described here.

Price Increases: Any increase in the price of your travel arrangements due to changes in transportation costs (including fuel), dues, taxes, or fees chargeable for services such as landing taxes, or adverse changes in exchange rates, will not be passed on to you once the deposit is paid, except where the total increase exceeds 2% of the total travel arrangement cost. In such cases, you will be responsible for paying the excess over 2%. If this increase results in an additional charge exceeding 8% of the total cost of your travel arrangements, you will have the option to cancel the booking with a full refund.

Price Reductions: Should the total cost of your travel arrangements decrease due to the factors mentioned above, we will pass on the benefit of the reduction to you, less an administrative fee to cover the expenses incurred in making the necessary adjustments to your booking.

Cancellations by You: Should you need to cancel your booking for any reason, this must be done in writing by the lead booker. Cancellation charges will apply as per our standard cancellation policy outlined in Section 6. We recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover potential cancellation charges.

Financial Protection: All payments made to Bliss Luxury Travel, especially those including flights, are fully protected under the ATOL scheme, ensuring peace of mind regarding the security of your funds. Your payments are held in a trust account until the services you have paid for are rendered.

We welcome payments through major credit cards including Barclaycard, Visa, Access, MasterCard, and American Express. All transactions are securely processed via Felloh.

2. Travel Documentation

Securing the necessary travel documentation is the responsibility of each individual traveller. Bliss Luxury Travel will guide you through the process, but it is imperative that you procure all required travel documents, including passports, visas, health certificates, and any other documentation necessary for entry into each destination on your itinerary.

Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the conclusion of your trip. We will advise you on any visa requirements at the time of booking, but you should also confirm any current and specific visa requirements directly with the relevant embassies or consulates as they can frequently change. Bliss Luxury Travel cannot be held responsible for guests who are unable to travel due to incomplete or incorrect documentation.

For bookings that include flight arrangements, we will assist in providing the necessary information to ensure your compliance with Advance Passenger Information (API) requirements imposed by airlines and immigration authorities.

As a part of our commitment to your travel experience, Bliss Luxury Travel will help with understanding and meeting the entry and exit requirements of your destinations. However, it is your obligation to ensure that all members of your party meet the necessary health formalities of the countries you will be visiting.

If travelling with minors, be aware that some countries require documentation affirming parental consent to travel. Please ensure you are fully apprised of and comply with such regulations.

3. Insurance

As part of our commitment to ensuring your peace of mind while travelling, Bliss Luxury Travel requires all travellers to secure comprehensive travel insurance before departure. This insurance must cover the entirety of your travel period and include, but not be limited to, coverage for cancellation, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal belongings, and any other unforeseen expenses that might arise during your trip.

Minimum Coverage Requirements:

Cancellation and Curtailment: Your policy should cover the total cost of your trip in case you need to cancel or cut short your holiday due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, injury, or significant personal events.

Medical Expenses and Repatriation: Ensure your policy includes substantial coverage for medical expenses abroad and costs associated with repatriation in case of medical emergencies.

Personal Liability: Adequate coverage for personal liability in case of damages or injuries caused by you to others during your travels.

Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Belongings: Coverage for the loss, theft, or damage of personal items, including luggage, travel documents, and valuable items like cameras and electronics.

Responsibility to Disclose: It is your responsibility to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions to your insurance provider and ensure that your policy covers these conditions. Failure to do so may invalidate your insurance when seeking to claim for treatment or assistance related to such conditions.

Proof of Insurance: Bliss Luxury Travel reserves the right to request proof of your travel insurance policy at any time. This is to ensure that all guests have adequate protection in place, in line with our booking conditions.

Assistance in Obtaining Insurance: While we do not sell insurance directly, we have established partnerships with reputable insurance providers to offer a selection of comprehensive travel insurance options tailored to the needs of guests. Our team can assist you in understanding these options, ensuring you select a policy that offers the coverage you need, including cancellation, medical expenses, and more.

Although we provide these options for your convenience, the final choice of insurance provider and policy is your responsibility. We encourage you to review the policy details thoroughly to ensure it meets your specific travel needs and covers any pre-existing medical conditions. Our aim is to make the process of obtaining suitable travel insurance straightforward and stress-free, providing you with peace of mind throughout your journey.

Limitation of Liability: Please note that Bliss Luxury Travel cannot be held responsible for any costs or expenses incurred because of your lack of suitable insurance coverage. This includes, but is not limited to, costs associated with medical treatment, repatriation, loss of belongings, or cancellation fees.

Insurance in the Event of Force Majeure: We strongly recommend that your travel insurance covers cancellations or changes to your travel plans resulting from 'force majeure' events such as natural disasters, pandemics, or political unrest. While Bliss Luxury Travel will provide all reasonable assistance in such events, our ability to offer refunds or alternative arrangements may be limited, and having comprehensive insurance in place is crucial.

By ensuring you are adequately insured, you protect not only your financial investment in your holiday but also your health and well-being, providing you with confidence and security as you travel.

4. Special Requests

Any special requests related to your booking should be communicated to Bliss Luxury Travel at the time of booking. We will endeavour to notify the relevant service providers of your requirements but cannot guarantee that such requests will be met. Confirmation of a special request on your booking documentation indicates that Bliss Luxury Travel has received the request and has forwarded it to the supplier; it does not ensure that the supplier can fulfil it. We regret that we cannot guarantee specific requests such as meal preferences on flights or seating arrangements.

5. Health and Fitness

For the safety and enjoyment of your journey, it is essential that you are in good health and possess a level of fitness suitable for the travel arrangements you have booked. Bliss Luxury Travel advises all guests to consult with healthcare providers for a pre-travel health assessment based on the specific destinations and activities planned.

You must inform us of any existing medical conditions or disabilities that may affect your ability to travel, including the use of any equipment or aids, at the time of booking. This disclosure should include any requirements for special facilities or services that may not be readily available during your travels. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your needs and advise our suppliers accordingly.

However, Bliss Luxury Travel reserves the right to decline any booking or to request a medical certificate confirming fitness for travel, should we deem necessary to ensure the health and safety of yourself or other travellers.

For those with pre-existing conditions, we strongly recommend carrying sufficient personal medication as pharmacies in remote or overseas locations may not stock specific drugs. We also recommend that you carry your medication in your hand luggage and are familiar with the regulations regarding the transport of medication on airlines.

Please note that health and vaccination requirements may vary by destination and change at short notice. It is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with all health and vaccination policies of the countries you are visiting, including any transit points.

Your well-being is our priority, and Bliss Luxury Travel is committed to ensuring that your travel arrangements align with your health and fitness levels.

6. Cancellation Terms

We at Bliss Luxury Travel understand that unforeseen circumstances can sometimes lead to changes in travel plans. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our guests and our operational requirements. This policy applies to all our offerings, including packaged holidays and single elements like flights, accommodations, or other travel services.

Notification and Process

Written Notification: All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Bliss Luxury Travel. The cancellation will be considered effective on the date we receive your written notification.

Recommendation for Delivery: To ensure the safe and confirmed delivery of your cancellation notice, we strongly recommend using a method that provides proof of delivery, such as registered mail or email with a read receipt.

Cancellation Charges

Cancellation charges are determined based on the time before the scheduled departure when the notice is received. These charges are necessary to cover the costs incurred in preparing your travel arrangements. The scale of charges is as follows:

More than 90 days before departure: Forfeiture of deposit only.
61 to 90 days before departure: 30% of the total booking cost.
31 to 60 days before departure: 60% of the total booking cost.
15 to 30 days before departure: 80% of the total booking cost.
14 days or fewer before departure: 100% of the total booking cost.

Special Considerations

Unavoidable and Extraordinary Circumstances: If you need to cancel due to circumstances such as natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, or other situations beyond anyone's control that significantly impact your ability to travel or the safety of the destination, Bliss Luxury Travel will offer a full refund of monies paid, excluding any non-recoverable costs. This clause is activated when official travel advisories recommend against travel to your destination.

Cancellation by Bliss Luxury Travel: In the rare event that we must cancel your travel arrangements due to factors beyond our control or insufficient bookings for a package, we will offer a full refund or, where possible, an alternative arrangement of comparable standard with no additional compensation due.

Non-refundable Expenses: Certain costs, such as insurance premiums, amendment fees, and deposits for specific pre-booked services, are non-refundable. Additionally, some confirmed arrangements may incur a cancellation charge of up to 100% of that part of the booking.

Group Bookings and Individual Cancellations: For group bookings, individual cancellations may affect the overall pricing structure. Should a group member cancel, this may result in additional charges for the remaining participants, such as single occupancy supplements. We will work with you to minimise these additional costs where possible.

Insurance Claims: If your cancellation reason is covered under your travel insurance policy, you may be eligible to reclaim these charges from your insurance provider.

Force Majeure: In the event of force majeure, defined as circumstances beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, or other significant disruptions such as travel advisories or bans by authorities that materially impact the feasibility or safety of your travel arrangements, Bliss Luxury Travel adopts the following approach as part of our Cancellation Terms:

Proactive Communication: We commit to promptly inform you of any force majeure events that may impact your travel, providing clear information on the situation, its potential impact on your plans, and the options available to you.

Alternative Travel Arrangements: Where possible, Bliss Luxury Travel will endeavour to offer alternative travel arrangements of a comparable standard and value. Should the cost of these alternatives differ from your original booking, we will clearly communicate any price adjustments, offering the option to either pay the difference for a higher value alternative or receive a refund for the lower value.

Refunds Minus Non-Recoverable Costs: If no suitable alternatives are available, or you choose not to accept the alternative arrangements, we will issue a refund for payments made towards services not rendered, deducting any non-recoverable costs incurred by us on your behalf. These costs may include non-refundable deposits or payments made to our suppliers, and we will provide a detailed breakdown for transparency.

Assistance with Insurance Claims: Understanding the importance of travel insurance, especially in covering force majeure events, Bliss Luxury Travel will assist you in claiming any additional losses incurred from your insurance provider. Our assistance includes providing necessary documentation and information to support your claim.

Insurance Recommendation: We strongly recommend that your travel insurance policy includes comprehensive coverage for force majeure events to ensure your financial protection against such unforeseen circumstances.

Consultation and Support: We encourage open communication and recommend that you contact us immediately upon deciding to cancel your booking. Our team will provide guidance and support throughout the process, aiming to reduce cancellation charges where feasible and offer alternative solutions.

7. Delays and Transport Disruptions

In the event you or any member of your party experiences a delay, misses a scheduled flight or other transport arrangement, or faces cancellation for any reason, it's imperative to notify both Bliss Luxury Travel and the involved airline or transport provider immediately.

Under UK legislation, which encompasses certain retained EU laws, passengers might be entitled to refunds or compensation in instances of denied boarding, cancellations, or significant delays of flights. Detailed information on passenger rights is available at UK airports and from the respective airlines. Should an airline fail to adhere to these regulations, grievances can be directed to the UK Civil Aviation Authority via their website at www.caa.co.uk/passengers. It's important to understand that reimbursement from the airline for such disruptions does not equate to an automatic refund of your holiday cost from Bliss Luxury Travel. In situations where compensation is sought from us instead of the airline, we will require an assignment of your rights against the airline related to that claim.

Please be aware that delays or cancellations of your flight do not automatically justify the cancellation of other travel arrangements, especially if they were booked in conjunction with your flight.

Bliss Luxury Travel cannot be held liable for delays attributed to any factors outlined in our booking conditions, including the conduct of passengers who do not adhere to check-in or boarding deadlines.

Flight details, including the carrier, timings, and aircraft type, provided in our promotional materials or your booking confirmation, serve as a guide and are subject to change. We will notify you of the confirmed carrier details as soon as they are available to us. The most current flight timings will be indicated on your tickets, dispatched approximately two weeks before your departure. Upon receipt, please review your tickets to confirm the accuracy of flight details. In the event of any changes post-ticket issuance, we will make every effort to inform you promptly.

We also draw your attention to the "UK Air Safety List," which outlines air carriers restricted or banned within the UK, accessible for review at the Civil Aviation Authority's official website.

The content on our website and promotional materials is under our purview and does not represent any airlines directly or indirectly involved in your travel arrangements.

8. Amendments and Booking Transfers

Amendments:

At Bliss Luxury Travel, we understand that your plans may change after booking. Should you need to modify any aspect of your arrangements, we request you notify us in writing at your earliest convenience. While we strive to accommodate your needs, please note that amendments are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.

Amendment requests may incur an administrative fee of up to £50 per person, per change. However, we will endeavour to minimise any charges where possible, acknowledging that some fees may be beyond our control due to third-party supplier policies. This fee is in addition to any potential rate adjustments, extra costs from our suppliers, or other incurred expenses.

Should we be unable to fulfil your amendment request, or if you choose not to proceed with the original booking, the situation will be treated as a cancellation on your part, potentially resulting in cancellation fees.

Booking Transfers:

In situations where you or a member of your party cannot travel, we offer the option to transfer the booking to another individual, under the following conditions:

The new traveller is introduced by you and meets all criteria for the booked holiday.

Notification of the transfer is provided at least 7 days before departure.

Any outstanding payments are settled, alongside a potential amendment fee of £50 per person transferring. Additional fees or costs related to the transfer may also apply.

The transferee agrees to abide by the existing booking conditions and all other contractual terms between us.

Both you and the new guest will be jointly responsible for the payment of all charges associated with the transfer. If a suitable replacement cannot be found, standard cancellation charges will apply, covering our estimated losses. No refunds will be provided for travellers unable to partake in the holiday or for any unused services.

Please note that some bookings, particularly those with specific arrangements, may not be amendable or transferrable post-confirmation. Altering these bookings could lead to a cancellation charge of up to 100% for certain components of the arrangements.

9. Agency Changes and Cancellations

In the world of travel, plans are made well in advance, yet we acknowledge that sometimes adjustments or cancellations are unavoidable. We reserve the right to make such changes or cancellations at any moment.

Changes

Minor Changes: Should there be a minor change to your travel plans, such as a slight alteration in flight times (less than 12 hours), changes in aircraft type, upgrades to accommodation, or a change in carriers, we will inform you as soon as possible. These minor changes, which may happen for various logistical reasons, will not incur any liability on our part.

Significant Changes or Cancellations: If Bliss Luxury Travel needs to make a significant change to your confirmed travel arrangements or cancel them, we will inform you as soon as possible. Significant changes might include a change in your departure airport (excluding changes between London airports), a substantial alteration to your departure time (exceeding 12 hours), or a significant downgrade in your accommodation quality.

Upon notification of a significant change or cancellation, you will have the following options:

Accepting the altered arrangements as proposed by us.

Cancelling your booking and receiving a full refund of all payments made to Bliss Luxury Travel.

Accepting an alternative travel arrangement of comparable or superior quality, if available, at no extra cost to you.

Choosing an alternative arrangement of lower quality, if available, with a refund of the difference in cost.

Compensation: If we make a significant change or cancel your booking within 70 days of departure, except in cases of force majeure, non-payment by you, or insufficient booking numbers, compensation will be provided as follows:

More than 70 days before departure: No compensation
69 to 50 days before departure: £10 per person
49 to 36 days before departure: £20 per person
35 to 28 days before departure: £30 per person
Less than 28 days before departure: £40 per person

This compensation is intended to acknowledge the inconvenience caused and is payable per person listed on the booking. Please note, this compensation does not apply where changes or cancellations are made more than 70 days before departure, are considered minor, result from your failure to pay the balance, or are due to force majeure events.

Important Considerations: We regret that we cannot meet any costs or expenses you incur because of a change or cancellation, such as visa fees, vaccinations, or non-refundable transport costs. We advise you to check the coverage of your travel insurance policy for such eventualities.

In instances where we are unable to provide a significant portion of the services after departure, we will make efforts to arrange suitable alternatives at no extra cost to you. If the alternatives provided are of a lower standard, you will be entitled to a price reduction appropriate to the difference in value of the services originally booked and those provided.

10. Supplier Terms

Your holiday experience is crafted through the collaboration of various independent suppliers, each contributing their unique services. When you choose Bliss Luxury Travel, the terms and conditions of these suppliers become an integral part of your agreement with us.

Understanding Supplier Terms:

Each supplier, from airlines to hotels and local tour operators, operates under their own set of terms and conditions. These conditions govern their services and outline the scope of their responsibility towards you, the traveller. It's important to understand that these terms may sometimes limit or exclude the supplier's liability, often in alignment with established International Conventions.

Access to Terms:

We believe in transparency and are committed to ensuring you have all the information you need for a seamless travel experience. Should you wish to review the specific terms and conditions of any supplier contributing to your holiday, we are here to assist. Copies of the relevant sections of these terms are available upon request, either directly from us or the respective supplier.

Our Role:

Bliss Luxury Travel acts as the intermediary, bringing together these diverse services to create your perfect holiday package. While we carefully select our partners for their quality and reliability, their individual terms are beyond our control and form a direct contract between you and the supplier.

Your Peace of Mind:

Understanding the terms and conditions of each supplier is key to setting the right expectations for your holiday. We encourage you to familiarise yourself with these details, ensuring a well-informed and enjoyable travel experience. Our team is always at your disposal for any clarifications or additional information you might need.

11. Guest Conduct

Bliss Luxury Travel is committed to providing all guests with an enjoyable and safe travel experience. We kindly ask that you conduct yourself in a manner that respects the rights and well-being of others, including fellow guests, our staff, and service providers. Your cooperation is essential in maintaining the high standards of conduct we expect during your journey.

Expected Behaviour:

Guests are expected to always behave responsibly and considerately.

Actions that endanger the safety, peace, or enjoyment of others, or cause damage to property, are strictly prohibited.

Consequences of Disruptive Behaviour:

In instances of disruptive behaviour, Bliss Luxury Travel reserves the right to terminate your travel arrangements. This decision will be made with careful consideration and as a last resort.

Termination of services due to misconduct will result in the forfeiture of any right to refunds or compensation for unused services.

Guests may be required to vacate their accommodation or other service areas promptly upon service termination.

Guests will be held financially responsible for any damages or disruptions caused, with all associated costs, including legal fees if applicable, charged directly to the responsible party.

Dispute Resolution and Fair Treatment:

In the event of a dispute regarding conduct or the potential termination of services, Bliss Luxury Travel is committed to a fair and transparent resolution process.

Guests will be given the opportunity to explain their actions before any final decision is made regarding the termination of services.

We will endeavour to resolve disputes amicably, considering all aspects of the situation and the impact on all parties involved.

Responsibility for Damages:

Immediate restitution is expected for any damage caused to property belonging to Bliss Luxury Travel, our partners, or other guests. Failure to make restitution may lead to further action to recover costs.

Encouragement of Positive Behaviour:

We encourage all guests to embrace positive and respectful behaviour, enhancing not only your travel experience but also that of your fellow travellers.

Bliss Luxury Travel values the right of every guest to enjoy their travel experience free from disruption. We believe that adhering to these conduct guidelines will contribute to a harmonious and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.

12. Health Advisory

Before embarking on your journey with Bliss Luxury Travel, it's crucial to ensure that you're adequately prepared health-wise for your chosen destination. Different locations may have varying health requirements or risks, and it's essential to be informed and prepared well in advance of your departure.

We strongly recommend consulting a healthcare professional or a travel health clinic at least 6 to 8 weeks before your trip, to discuss any necessary vaccinations or health precautions. This timeline allows for any vaccines to become effective and for you to take any recommended courses of medication.

In addition to vaccinations, some destinations may have specific health advisories or risks related to water and food consumption, insect bites, and altitude. It's important to be aware of these potential issues and take appropriate preventive measures.

For those with pre-existing medical conditions, carrying sufficient medication for the duration of your trip, as well as a copy of your prescription and a doctor's note explaining your condition and treatment, is advisable. This preparation can be crucial in case of emergency or when navigating through customs.

Lastly, it's worth noting that medical facilities and standards can vary greatly from one country to another. Ensuring that your travel insurance covers medical treatment and repatriation costs is paramount for a worry-free travel experience.

By taking these health advisories into account and preparing accordingly, you can look forward to a safe and enjoyable travel experience with Bliss Luxury Travel.

13. Feedback and Resolution

At Bliss Luxury Travel, we highly value your feedback, as it plays a crucial role in enhancing our services and ensuring that your travel experiences meet and exceed expectations. We are committed to providing exceptional service, but we understand that there might be times when your experience does not align with your expectations.

If you encounter any problems while on your trip, we encourage you to immediately inform the relevant service provider (e.g., hotel, tour operator) as well as contacting us immediately. We offer a 24/7 contact number to all our travellers and will assist in resolving any issues that may arise as promptly as possible. Prompt communication often allows for immediate resolution, ensuring the rest of your trip proceeds smoothly.

Should the issue not be resolved to your satisfaction locally, please follow up with us within 28 days of your return. You can reach us via email or post, providing a detailed account of the matter along with any supporting documents or evidence. This information is vital for us to investigate your concerns thoroughly and seek a fair resolution.

We aim to acknowledge your feedback promptly and will strive to resolve any issues as quickly as possible. Our customer service team will review your case in detail, liaising with our suppliers and partners as necessary, to provide a response that addresses your concerns constructively.

Should an issue not be resolved to your satisfaction, we invite you to contact our dedicated support team. You can reach us directly at our UK office on +44 (0)20 8050 7995.

In the rare event that your concerns remain unresolved after your return, we kindly request that you submit a formal complaint in writing within 28 days following the conclusion of your services with us. Please address your correspondence to:

Alternatively, you can email your complaints to support@blissluxurytravel.com.

To expedite the resolution process, we ask that your communication is clear and concise, outlining your booking reference and all pertinent details relating to your complaint.

Adhering to this procedure is crucial as it enables us to thoroughly investigate and address your concerns. It also ensures that your rights are fully protected. Please be aware that not following this recommended process might impact our ability to effectively resolve your complaint and could influence your rights under our contract.

For an additional layer of support, Bliss Luxury Travel is a member of the Travel Trust Association (TTA), offering an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service. For more details on this service, please refer to clause 14 Regulatory Compliance.

14. Regulatory Compliance

We are fully committed to upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance within the travel industry. Our operations adhere strictly to the guidelines set by travel and consumer protection bodies, including the Travel Trust Association (TTA), part of the Travel Network Group, membership number X8889 ensuring your peace of mind and security.

We continually monitor and adjust our practices to stay in line with the latest regulations and legal requirements, ensuring that your travel experiences are not only memorable but also secure and compliant with the industry's best practices.

In the unlikely event that a dispute arises, and we are unable to resolve your complaint internally, we encourage you to refer to the TTA's dispute resolution process, which offers an impartial and straightforward way to address concerns. Further details about this process and the protections offered by our TTA and ATOL memberships can be found on their respective websites.

Your confidence and satisfaction in our services are of paramount importance, and we are dedicated to upholding the integrity and standards of the travel industry through our memberships with these esteemed organisations.

15. Financial Protection

We offer an extensive financial protection plan to ensure the security and peace of mind of our guests. Our protection framework is structured as follows:

Travel Trust Association (TTA) Membership: As a member of the TTA, Bliss Luxury Travel ensures that all guests funds are deposited into a trust account. This arrangement provides a high level of financial protection for your money. Funds are only released from the trust account to pay for services related to your booking, ensuring that your money is safeguarded against any financial failure of the agency.

ATOL Protection for Flight-Inclusive Packages: For bookings that include flights, Bliss Luxury Travel provides protection through ATOL (Air Travel Organisers' Licencing) by partnering with an ATOL holder. When you book a flight-inclusive package with us, you will receive an ATOL Certificate detailing what is financially protected, where you can get information on what this means for you, and who to contact if things go wrong. This certificate is your guarantee that you are covered under the ATOL scheme.

ATOL Protection Contribution (APC): Included in the price of our flight-inclusive packages is the ATOL Protection Contribution (APC), a charge of £2.50 per person. This contribution is a mandatory fee paid by us to the ATOL scheme, providing the funds necessary to protect customers and ensure they are not left out of pocket or stranded abroad in the event of an ATOL holder's failure.

Supplier Failure Cover (SFC) Insurance: For parts of your holiday not covered by the ATOL scheme, such as ground arrangements or ancillary services, Bliss Luxury Travel has put in place Supplier Failure Cover (SFC) insurance. This insurance provides additional protection against the financial failure of any suppliers involved in your holiday that are not flight-based and therefore fall outside the scope of ATOL protection.

Scheduled Airline Failure Insurance (SAFI): For additional peace of mind, we include SAFI coverage, which provides up to £3000 per passenger protection against the failure of scheduled airlines, at a premium of £3.80 per passenger.

Stand Alone Safe Seat Plan Guarantee: Our financial protection plan includes a £2.73 per person financial guarantee, enhancing the security of your booking even further.

16. Itinerary Changes

We understand that plans can change, and we strive to accommodate your needs with flexibility and understanding. Our Itinerary Changes Policy is designed to provide clarity and peace of mind when adjustments are needed.

If you need to modify any part of your confirmed travel arrangements after receiving our confirmation invoice, please inform us in writing as soon as possible. The primary contact on the booking should be the one to communicate these changes. While we cannot guarantee we'll be able to fulfil every change request, we will do our utmost to accommodate your needs.

Administration Fees and Additional Costs

Changes to your itinerary may incur an administration fee of up to £50 per person, per change. This fee helps cover the administrative effort required to adjust your arrangements. In addition to the administration fee, any changes may result in increased costs due to rate changes or additional expenses incurred by us or our suppliers. We recommend contacting us promptly to minimise potential costs, as they can rise as the departure date approaches.

Cancellation and Transfer of Booking

Should we be unable to accommodate your desired changes and you choose not to proceed with the original booking, we will treat this as a cancellation on your part, which may be subject to cancellation fees.

In circumstances where you or a member of your party cannot travel, it may be possible to transfer the booking to another suitable person. This is subject to the following conditions:

The new traveller meets all the conditions applicable to the trip.

We are notified of the transfer request no less than 7 days before departure.

You cover any outstanding balance payments, an amendment fee of £50 per person for the transfer, and any additional costs arising from the transfer.

The transferee agrees to all terms and conditions of the contract with Bliss Luxury Travel.

Both the original booker and the transferee will be jointly and severally responsible for the payment of all sums related to the booking. Should you be unable to find a replacement, standard cancellation charges will apply.

Note on Non-Amendable Arrangements:

Please be aware that certain travel arrangements may not be amendable after confirmation, and any attempt to change could result in a cancellation charge of up to 100% for that part of the arrangements.

17. Guest Information

We are dedicated to ensuring your travel experience is seamless and enjoyable. To achieve this, we require certain information from you at the time of booking and encourage you to share any additional preferences or requirements you may have.

Personal Details: Please provide accurate and complete personal information for all travellers, including full names as they appear on passports, dates of birth, and any other documentation necessary for your travel arrangements.

Special Requirements: If you or any member of your party has specific needs or conditions that could affect your travel or accommodation, such as dietary restrictions, mobility issues, or medical requirements, please inform us at the time of booking. While we strive to accommodate all requests, confirmation will depend on the policies of our suppliers.

18. Liability Limitations

Bliss Luxury Travel endeavours to ensure that all travel arrangements and services provided as part of our holidays are carried out in accordance with the descriptions provided and to an excellent standard. However, we recognise that occasionally, despite our best efforts, things may not go according to plan. The following outlines our limitations of liability:

Supplier Relationships: Many of the services that make up your travel arrangements are provided by independent suppliers. These suppliers provide these services in accordance with their own terms and conditions. While Bliss Luxury Travel will accept responsibility for the actions and omissions of our suppliers, the liability of Bliss Luxury Travel and its suppliers may, in some instances, be limited as per the applicable international conventions or laws.

Performance and Prompt Reporting: If any part of your travel arrangements is not provided as promised, please inform us immediately. If a problem arises during your trip, we will endeavour to rectify it on the spot. However, our liability is limited if issues are not reported promptly, allowing us the opportunity to address and resolve them during your trip.

Force Majeure: We will not be liable or pay compensation for any damage, loss, expense, or failure to perform or promptly perform any obligation under these booking conditions that is caused by any event or circumstances that are beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to, war, threat of war, civil strife, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, pandemics, and all similar events outside our or the supplier's control.

Travel Advice: We take into consideration travel advisories issued by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. However, the decision to travel is ultimately your own and we are not responsible for any cancellations or alterations to your booking made due to such advisories, except where cancellation or change is mandatory under UK law.

Compensation Limits: Where we are found liable for loss of and/or damage to any luggage or personal possessions (including money), the maximum amount we will have to pay you is limited to the amount specified under the applicable international convention or regulation which applies to the travel arrangements in question.

Indirect or Consequential Loss: We will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, including but not limited to loss of enjoyment, pain, suffering, or emotional distress.

Assistance: If you or any member of your party suffers during your holiday due to a failure of any part of your holiday contract with us, we will offer prompt assistance without undue delay, especially if this has significant effects on your holiday. This assistance may include providing information on health services, local authorities, consular assistance, and helping you find alternative travel arrangements.

Please note, the acceptance of liability by Bliss Luxury Travel in this section does not apply to any separate contracts that you may enter for excursions or activities during your holiday.

19. Jurisdiction

Our Booking Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, ensuring clear legal standards for both parties. In the event of a dispute, resolution will be sought in the courts of England and Wales. However, if you reside in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you have the option to proceed within your local legal system, in accordance with Scottish or Northern Irish law, as applicable. This approach offers flexibility while maintaining legal clarity for all parties involved.

20. Data Protection

By booking with Bliss Luxury Travel, you consent to our use and disclosure of your personal information for purposes including: processing your booking, which may involve sharing details with third-party suppliers (like hotels and airlines) and possibly transferring data to countries with different privacy laws than the UK; enhancing customer service; detecting and preventing fraud or other criminal activities, which may require sharing information with entities such as banks and credit card companies; fulfilling legal obligations, necessitating data sharing with public authorities like customs and immigration; and for direct marketing to provide you with relevant offers and services through post or phone.

In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we ensure that your personal data is processed lawfully, transparently, and for a specific purpose. Once that purpose is fulfilled and the data is no longer required, it will be deleted. Your rights under the GDPR include accessing your personal data, rectifying inaccuracies, erasing data, restricting processing, and portability of your data.

We may record phone conversations for training, quality control, and crime prevention/detection purposes. If you've chosen email communication, we'll use the provided email address for sending travel documents and assume its accuracy and your understanding of the risks associated with this form of communication. Note that certain communications may still require postal or direct contact as per our booking conditions.

For access to your personal data held by us, to exercise any of your rights under the GDPR, or to opt out of marketing communications, please contact our Data Protection Officer at Bliss Luxury Travel, The Business Centre, Suite D, Faringdon Avenue, Romford, Essex, RM3 8EN. You can also make opt-out choices on our website. Our comprehensive privacy policy, which details how we handle your personal data in compliance with the GDPR, is available at Privacy Policy

21. Baggage

Baggage handling at UK departure points is generally very efficient, but there may be occasions when delays occur. Please be advised that airlines may impose additional charges if your checked baggage exceeds the weight allowance indicated on your ticket. It's important to note that baggage allowances can range from 15 kg to 50 kg depending on the airline, so we strongly recommend verifying the specific allowance for your flight beforehand.

For safety and handling reasons, individual luggage items should not exceed 30 kg. We advise packing essential items such as medication, valuable belongings, and photographic equipment in your carry-on luggage to keep them secure and readily accessible. Certain items, including knives, scissors, tweezers, and laser pointers, are prohibited in hand luggage, and should be placed in your checked baggage. These and other sharp objects in hand luggage will be confiscated during security checks.

Before your departure, we encourage you to consult with the airline directly or visit their website for comprehensive information on permitted onboard items to ensure compliance with their specific regulations.

22. Brexit Impact

Bliss Luxury Travel is committed to keeping you informed about the potential impact of Brexit on your travel plans. We understand that the UK's departure from the EU may lead to changes in travel regulations, including flight routes, port and airport access, and visa requirements for British citizens travelling within the EU. Our team is actively monitoring the situation to provide timely updates and advice on any confirmed bookings that might be affected.

We consider such changes as force majeure events, beyond our control. While we will do our best to offer suitable alternative arrangements or refunds where possible, it's important to note that we cannot guarantee compensation for changes directly resulting from Brexit. Our priority is to ensure that you have the necessary information and support to make informed decisions about your travel plans during these uncertain times.

23. Package Compliance

At Bliss Luxury Travel, we are deeply committed to upholding your rights and protections as outlined in the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. Our package holidays are carefully crafted not only to offer unforgettable experiences but also to ensure compliance with these important regulations, safeguarding your interests throughout your journey.

Defining a Package Holiday:

According to the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, a Package Holiday is constituted when you book a combination of at least two different types of travel services for the same trip. These services can include:

Transport
Accommodation
Vehicle rental
Other tourist services that are not an intrinsic part of the transport, accommodation, or vehicle rental but still form a significant part of your booking.

When these services are selected and paid for as a single trip through Bliss Luxury Travel, they are considered a package, thereby offering you the comprehensive protections provided by the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018.

Exceptions to the Package Definition:

There are specific scenarios where bookings may not be considered Package Holidays under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018:

Trips that last less than 24 hours and do not include overnight accommodation.

Bookings where one type of travel service is combined with one or more tourist services, which do not constitute 25% or more of the total value of the trip and are not advertised as an essential feature of the journey.

Bookings falling into these categories are treated as "Single Service" bookings and do not enjoy the protections of the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018.

Our Responsibility as Your Package Organiser:

As the organiser of your Package Holiday, Bliss Luxury Travel accepts full responsibility for the proper performance of all aspects of the package. This encompasses ensuring that the quality of service and assistance is in strict alignment with our obligations under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, providing you with security and a seamless experience.

Consumer Protection and Compliance:

Our adherence to the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 ensures that we provide clear and transparent information about what constitutes a Package Holiday. This includes detailed pricing and an exhaustive list of what your package includes. Should you encounter any difficulties, we are committed to offering prompt and effective assistance to resolve any issues in accordance with your consumer rights.

By steadfastly following the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, we aim to not only meet but exceed the regulatory standards for package holidays. This commitment underscores our dedication to ensuring that your experience with Bliss Luxury Travel is not only memorable but also fully protected, with your rights and best interests at the heart of our service.

24. Pricing Guarantee

We understand the importance of clear and comprehensive pricing for all our travel arrangements. Our Pricing Guarantee Policy is designed to provide you with transparency and confidence when booking your luxury travel experience with us. Below, we detail our approach to pricing, including inclusions, exclusions, and our commitments to you regarding price adjustments and guarantees.

Comprehensive Pricing Approach:

Our holiday prices are initially based on specially negotiated rates with airlines, hotels, and other service providers. These rates are subject to availability and market conditions, meaning they can fluctuate based on demand, availability, and external economic factors.

In instances where our negotiated rates are not available at the time of booking, we will promptly inform you and provide alternative options, possibly at higher rates. Our commitment is to ensure you have all necessary information to make informed decisions about your travel plans.

Price Inclusions:

Prices for flight-inclusive packages typically cover international and domestic flights in economy class, excluding specific regional flights within the UK, which may be subject to separate pricing.

Accommodations are included based on double occupancy, with the standard and grade clearly specified in your booking details.

Private transfers are standard for most destinations, with shared transfers employed in select locations for logistical or cost-efficiency reasons.

Meal plans, as specified in your travel arrangements, ranging from bed and breakfast to full board, depending on your selected package.

Comprehensive ATOL Protection (APC), ensuring your financial protection and peace of mind.

All applicable taxes, service charges, Air Passenger Duty, security fees, and any known fuel surcharges at the time of booking.

Price Exclusions:

Additional services such as spa treatments, beauty services, and certain recreational activities may incur extra charges unless explicitly included in your package.

Travel insurance, which we strongly recommend for all travellers to protect against unforeseen circumstances.

Optional excursions and experiences outside of the pre-arranged itinerary.

Local charges levied by accommodations, such as resort fees or utility charges, which may not be included in the initial price.

Excess baggage fees and charges for transporting sports equipment, which vary by airline and must be considered when packing.

Price Adjustments and Guarantee:

Our pricing model is dynamic, and adjustments may occur due to factors beyond our control, such as significant shifts in currency exchange rates, changes in fuel prices, or alterations in taxes and fees imposed by governments or regulatory bodies.

For bookings paid in full within seven days of the invoice date, we offer a price guarantee, ensuring no subsequent increases to the quoted price.

Deposits secure your booking, but the final price may be subject to adjustments. We commit to absorbing minor increases but will communicate any significant changes that might affect your booking cost.

Handling Price Decreases:

In the event of a price decrease exceeding 2% of your total holiday cost due to the factors outlined above, we will refund the difference, ensuring you benefit from the best available rate at the time of your departure.

25. Transfer Policy

Bliss Luxury Travel is committed to providing seamless and comfortable transfer arrangements for all our guests. Our transfer policy is designed to ensure that you experience a smooth transition from your point of arrival to your accommodation and back, making your travel as stress-free as possible.

Inclusion in Packages: Unless otherwise specified, all our package holidays include private or shared transfers between the airport and your accommodation. The type of transfer included will be clearly stated at the time of booking.

Private Transfers: For guests who prefer a more exclusive service, private transfers can be arranged at an additional cost. This service ensures a personal vehicle and driver dedicated to your travel party only.

Shared Transfers: In some destinations, shared transfers might be the default inclusion in the package. Shared transfers may involve waiting for other passengers and potential stops at multiple accommodations before reaching your destination.

Special Requests: Any special transfer requests, such as child seats, accessibility needs, or oversized luggage, should be made at the time of booking. While we will make every effort to accommodate these requests, they are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

Amendments and Cancellations: Should you need to amend or cancel your transfer arrangements, please inform us as soon as possible. Amendments are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Cancellation policies will align with the overall cancellation terms of your booking.

Delays and Missed Transfers: In the event of flight delays or missed connections, please inform us or our transfer provider immediately. We will endeavour to adjust your transfer arrangements accordingly, but this may not always be possible, and additional charges may apply.

Responsibility: While Bliss Luxury Travel arranges transfer services, the actual service is provided by third-party suppliers. We are not liable for any issues arising from the transfer service, such as delays or accidents, but we will assist in resolving any disputes with the service provider.

Feedback: We welcome feedback on your transfer experience, as it helps us to continually improve our services. Please share any comments or concerns with our customer service team.

26. Exceptional Cancellations

We understand that unforeseeable circumstances can sometimes necessitate the cancellation of your travel plans. Our Exceptional Cancellations Policy is designed to address such scenarios, ensuring clarity and fairness for our guests.

Definition: Exceptional cancellations refer to the need to cancel bookings due to extraordinary and unforeseeable circumstances that significantly affect the delivery of the booked travel services or the safety and security of the destination. Examples include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, war, terrorism, serious health risks, or significant political instability.

Notification: Should you find yourself in a situation warranting an exceptional cancellation, we require immediate written notification, outlining the nature of the extraordinary circumstances. Prompt communication enables us to assess the situation and provide the appropriate assistance.

Verification: Upon receipt of your notification, Bliss Luxury Travel will verify the exceptional circumstances by consulting relevant authorities, including government travel advisories, local and international health organisations, and our on-ground partners.

Refund and Compensation: In cases of exceptional cancellations confirmed by our verification process, we will offer the following options:

A full refund of all monies paid for the cancelled booking components.

The opportunity to rebook your travel arrangements for an alternative date or destination, subject to availability. Any difference in price will be either refunded or charged accordingly.

Insurance Advice: We strongly recommend that all guests take out comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking. In many cases, travel insurance may cover the financial impact of cancelling your trip due to exceptional circumstances. We advise guests to check their insurance policy details and liaise directly with their insurance provider for claims.

Exclusions: Our Exceptional Cancellations Policy does not cover situations where the guest opts to cancel due to personal preference or minor inconveniences. It is strictly limited to significant events that pose a genuine risk to safety or the feasibility of travel.

Assistance: Bliss Luxury Travel is committed to providing support and guidance throughout the cancellation process. Our team will assist with the necessary documentation and liaise with suppliers on your behalf to ensure a smooth resolution.

This policy is subject to the terms and conditions of individual service providers and may vary depending on the specific circumstances of the cancellation. Bliss Luxury Travel reserves the right to amend this policy in response to emerging global situations and regulatory changes.

27. Price Variations

We are committed to providing our guests with transparent and fair pricing. However, due to the nature of the travel industry, prices can vary due to several factors. Our Price Variations Policy is designed to inform you of the circumstances under which your holiday cost may change and how these changes will be managed.

Initial Pricing: All quoted prices at the time of booking are based on current rates and are subject to availability. They include all known costs and taxes. We reserve the right to amend prices at any time prior to booking confirmation due to fluctuations in exchange rates, changes in transportation costs, taxes, or dues.

Guaranteed Price: Once your booking is confirmed and the full payment is received, your holiday price is fully guaranteed and will not be subject to any surcharges.

Partial Payments: If only a deposit is made at the time of booking, the price of your holiday may be subject to variations due to changes in:

Transportation costs (including fuel prices)

Dues, taxes, or fees chargeable for services such as landing taxes or embarkation/disembarkation fees at ports and airports.

Exchange rates

Absorption Policy: Bliss Luxury Travel will absorb and not pass on any price increases up to 2% of the holiday cost. Any increase beyond this threshold, up to a maximum of 8% of the holiday cost, will be passed on to the guest Should the increase exceed 8%, guests will have the option to cancel the booking with a full refund or accept an alternative holiday if available.

Price Reductions: Should the cost of your holiday decrease due to the factors mentioned above, we will pass on the benefit of the reduction to you, less an administrative fee.

Notification: Any price variation will be communicated to you as soon as possible, with a clear explanation of the reasons behind the change.

Late Price Changes: We will not impose any surcharges within 20 days of your departure. Similarly, no refunds will be made for price reductions within this period.
